Last month, my friend Holly asked me and our friend Leslie if we wanted to meet her at the very north of Washington State, in which we all reside, to a peony farm named Pure Peonies. Without hesitation, we accepted the offer and drove {for hours} to Everson, Washington. It’s just minutes south of the Canadian border. Oh my goodness…we pulled up and it was magical! It took my breath away! I’ve tried to get this post up for a month but with some technical issues and other posts needing to get up quickly, this has taken a back seat. BUT I’m finally sharing it with you today and had to write about it because we had such a marvelous experience.

Instead of 4 hours, it took almost 7 hours to get there from Vancouver because there was so much traffic around Seattle with accidents and construction. So, I missed my friend Leslie and I was so bummed. She had to get back to her family. But you can read her post about the farm HERE and see her gorgeous pictures.
I met up with Holly since she was still around and my mom helped take pictures for us, as she was in town visiting. She loved the farm too!
Leslie and Holly had great weather while they were first there that morning but by the time I get there it was raining. But that’s ok! It was so pretty that I didn’t care and I had my Hunter boots on and an umbrella.
At Pure Peonies Farm, they have all shades and different varieties of peonies. From light pink, medium pink, dark vibrant pink, coral, shades of purple, white, and even yellow. They were all so stunning and gorgeous! They all had different smells too!
The farm has so many cute little spots for photo ops when you go. Even in the rain, we had a great time…wet hair and wet shoes. It didn’t matter. We were surrounded by so much beauty. It was like Heaven on Earth!
Renel Anderson and her husband James (Jim) Wright started this farm in 2010, as a promise to Renel’s mother. They now have 7 1/2 acres of peonies that you can order online HERE or go and cut your own. They work so hard and are constantly creating beautiful arrangements, shipping out orders, and caring for the peony farm. Renel said that Pure Peonies was “for our mothers, ultimately. They are looking down from heaven and the peonies are looking up.” I just love that!
Those are Shirley Temple peonies! Isn’t that the cutest name?! They are all so lovely!
Can you even imagine going to “work” here every day? It wouldn’t feel like work, that’s for sure!
Renel and Jim sent us home with their own special peony fertilizer to take back and put on my peonies (I was sooooo thrilled) and buckets of peonies to enjoy and style. They are seriously the nicest, most gracious people and treated us, and all of their customers and guests, with such warmth and invited us to come back again.
PLEASE, if you come to the Pacific Northwest or live nearby, you need to go and support their beautiful farm. You can also order online from the link I shared above.
Peonies in an apron-front sink are always a pretty sight to me!
These bright fuschia peonies looked stunning in my vintage milk glass vases.
These coral peonies reminded me of my flamingo placemats so I had to use them in a tablescape for a family dinner.
I’ll post more about this table later so stay tuned!
Oh how I loved having dozens and dozens of peonies in my kitchen that week! It was heavenly!! (For details on my kitchen, read this post.)
Peonies are definitely my favorite flower! I also love hydrangeas and roses the most. I love having fresh flowers in my home so I budget for them each week. They make me smile. What about you? What is your favorite flower?
