Today I’m revealing my dining room for the first time here in our new home in South Carolina! I’ve teamed up, once again, with my friends at Walmart to share it in a fun way during this holiday season. Check out this fun black and white Halloween table with affordable dinnerware that I brought home, and some great pieces, to create this look!

I’m so thrilled to be back in a home that has a formal dining room, separate from our other dining space….especially when we are entertaining and like to keep adults separate from the teens. It’s been great! Over on IG stories I’ll share what this room looked like when we moved in.
Now, I have a lot of dinnerware and try to find sets that won’t break the bank. Everyone should be able to afford nice plates and bowls that you can use every day. I found these 2 fabulous sets at Walmart…a black set of dinner plates, salad plates, and bowls and then a black and white dotted set with a gold rim. I actually bought 2 sets of each to have 8 settings total of each variation.
I just love them! Aren’t they pretty?! And so great for every day use or to even dress up a bit. Ok so I had fun. I mixed and matched them to create a beautiful Halloween table but honestly…take out the pumpkins and you can use these all year round!
Ok so here’s how I created my table. First, create a runner down the middle with some decor. I used velvet pumpkins, some black branches and a couple spooky crows. No tablecloth this time but you can certain throw one on there.
I layered a black dinner plate with a dotted salad plate next.
Then I layered a black bowl with a dotted bowl.
These white dinner napkins are great to use over and over again and throw in the wash. How cute is this jeweled spider napkin ring?!!! It was a perfect touch for Halloween!
Great stemware like this with a gold rim is an essential for my tablescapes.
I love gold flatware so I used more of a modern set for this table.
Isn’t it a great combo with both of these sets layered?!
Then I decided to change it up and switch out my plates, using the dotted on the bottom and I liked it even more. Fun right?! The napkin seemed to pop more.
I even found a black fascinator hair clip (cut off the netting) and put it on my velvet pumpkin for an added touch.
This was so easy and so fun, being able to mix and match this set.
I love this glam modern look and like I said…take out the Halloween decor and add some candlesticks or something else in the middle for an every day tablescape.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I always have a hot cocoa bar cart every fall and winter and apothecary jars make a cute and functional way to display everything.
I’m so pleased with the way my black and white Halloween table with affordable dinnerware from Walmart turned out! Walmart Home products have been my go-to for great home decor and kitchen items lately and I love going to see what new things they carry on their site. The last few months I’ve finished my master bedroom, my office, and our screened patio space with items from their website as well so make sure to check those out! What have been your favorite pieces you’ve found there lately?
