My dear friends!!!! Hello!!!! Can I please start off by saying THANK YOU for being here today for my spring tour and can I give you a big ‘ole virtual hug?!!! There’s a lot of crazy chaos in the world this week. I know we are all having to hunker down and stay safe and learn what “social-distancing” means. Life around the world looks gloomy for so many but I’m hoping we can bring you a little bit of SUNSHINE and inspiration today as I start off here (or maybe you’re continuing along the path from another friend’s blog) with my elegant blue and pink spring home tour!
Elegant Blue And Pink Spring Kitchen
I’ll go ahead and link the items I used (or similar/suggested items) at the bottom of each section. Please click on Home Tour above (or on the 3 lines above first) for links to paint/flooring info or original home sources.
I loved using pink and green in my kitchen and living room last spring and summer but went back to pink and blue this year and I’m loving it as well! I mean…pink and any color would be the cutest color combo because we all know (in case you’re new here) that pink is my absolute favorite color ever and complements ever other color beautifully, right?!
Big pops of blue, like this beautiful bread board, were a great spring addition. I love how it looks layered with my other boards as well.
I also brought back my beautiful pink and blue runner inside from storage and moved it into the kitchen for the kitchen (I used it in my entry last spring and summer). I’m sooo in love with this rug and the quality of it. Linked below as well.
Forgive my super bright sunshine but it was the only time I had to do my photography this week and, living in the Pacific Northwest, I was just doing a happy dance that we were receiving so much sunshine! Ha! Anyway, I love to create fun vignettes against my bright white kitchen. I also love my little tea spot on the left of my range with teacups. The small pink ginger jar has sachets of tea in it. It’s a fun way to display the tea, as is the stacked teacups on the cake stand.
I like pulling out my recipe books that coordinate with my color palette for the season and use them in my vignettes, along with cake stands and great faux florals.
Elegant Blue And Pink Spring Dining Area
These are my favorite faux peonies and I bought a ton of them online (lined below) a couple of summers ago and literally put them everywhere in my house during the spring and summer. I mix the lighter and darker pinks and some white too.
They make a beautiful centerpiece on their own or in two’s and three’s. Tip: You can take off some of the green leaves so it’s not overkill on the greenery if you want! Also, make sure you put some soft green foam on the bottom inside so that the floral arrangements will hold, as the stems are rather thin and then you’ll also get the arrangement looking exactly like you want it to.
I found these beautiful vases at Perigold last year and they’re sold out. I pulled them out again for a lovely symmetrical look, long faux cherry blossom stems, and a vignette of place settings stacked on my buffet to add color.
It doubles as decor and is functional to use also!
Elegant Blue And Pink Spring Living Room
What a SUNNY day! Wow! I had no idea until I downloaded these pics haha!
You’ll notice some of these pics have two styles of pillows and then the next day, my new pillows arrived (much earlier than I expected actually and I’m super loving them – the tassel boho ones in the corner) so I took some more and added them. They’re from Marshall’s by Patina Vie if you want to look for them when stores open back up. I’ll link the other two below. Their online store is down right now.
Ok, so Gracie is our newest little fluff ball of LOOOOOVE!!! We are puppy training and seriously obsessed and sooooo in loooove with her!!! So try not to be distracted (I double-dog dare you haha) as she tries to be Vanna White and model the new pillows for you!
I moved this little slipper chair in from the guest bedroom and moved over the little side table to add another pop of blue. Kind of fun right?! I almost bought another one and put them side by side but didn’t think it was necessary for just spring and summer. Do you spy a sleeping pup? Awwwww!
Sending you all lots of puppy snuggles and kisses!!!!! xoxo
