It warmed up here in the Pacific Northwest for a few days but then we are back to Fall weather and I’m so glad! Inside my home, it definitely smells like fall with all the baking and yummy candles and it definitely looks like fall with all of the decorating. A group of friends and I are sharing our fall decor ideas with you yesterday and today {in a 2-day tour} and I’m going to show you all the prettiest ways to style pumpkins for the fall. I hope you love these ideas and pin them for inspo as you start your fall decorating in your own home!

(Just a little note…you’ll see some of my photos watermarked with “She Leaves A Little Sparkle”. That was the name of my blog when I first started blogging but I rebranded a couple of years ago. These are all my ideas and pictures of my past homes or my current home but just didn’t want to confuse you!)
Pretty Ways I’ve Styled Pumpkins In The Past
Let’s look back at a few of the ideas I used in our last home and then I’ll share a little of what I’m doing in our new home now in Washington State.
In styling this fall coffee table back in our Dallas home, I used mini real white pumpkins and spanish moss on mercury candle holders for a natural but glam look.
I continued with the pumpkins and spanish moss on my vintage tea cart and I loved how pretty it looked on my antique silver pieces.
Finding some really nice faux pumpkins is a great alternative when setting a table like this one that I did and you don’t have to worry about them lasting just a short time or going bad. If you don’t like the color, you can always use some acrylic or chalk paint to make it the color you want or make it more natural-looking and not so yellow, as some faux pumpkins look.
I even used a faux pumpkin on faux fall stems in this fall tour to create a pretty centerpiece for my dining table. It was so simple but it was so elegant and exactly what this space needed.
I liked what I did above so much that I even made a smaller version in another vase and placed it on my antique silver tray.
Both sparkly glam pumpkins and real mini white pumpkins can be used to set a fancy table. You don’t have to choose just one or another in a space so don’t be afraid to use them together!
Ok so this time last year, we were in this little townhome here in Vancouver, Washington with ALL of our things in storage while our house was being built. My husband’s company put us up in a furnished townhome and moved us from Texas, which was so nice, but I had no fall decor with me. I ran to HomeGoods and picked up a tray, ginger jar, faux flowers and yes….a pretty mercury glass pumpkin to add a little fall decor to our temporary townhome. A pretty pumpkin can go a long way!
The Prettiest Ways To Style Pumpkins For The Fall
Here is what I’m doing in our new house this year. Last year everything was in storage and we were finishing the building process. So this year is actually the first Fall season that I get to decorate our new home.
I shared this 2-step DIY Fall Wreath the other day on the blog with mini faux pumpkins all over it. I was so lucky to find a nearby farm with a handful of white pumpkins that were ready and they let me have them. They look so cute on my front porch. I have pretty black urns for white pumpkin urn topiaries but I’ve got to wait until all the big white pumpkins are being harvested and sold on our local farms. They’re not quite ready yet.
This is my entry. Yesterday I pulled out another box of fall decor and it had all my pretty pumpkins made of glitter, velvet, or mercury glass. As I was taking things off my entry table and just putting these pumpkins on here until I’d found a place for them, I had an idea.
I grabbed more blush fall rose stems that I used in my fall candleholder wreath tutorial last week and placed them all over my pumpkin arrangement.
I loved it! What a happy accident!
In my kitchen, I wanted to keep the blue and pink I have going. I grabbed fresh flowers (as I do every week) and then added one of my pretty mercury glass pumpkins to the tray and switched out the other pieces I had here.
I added other subtle touches to my kitchen by placing my white pumpkin soup tureens on top of my plates in my glass cabinets.
Not all of your fall touches need to be grandiose. They can be subtle and still seasonal or festive.

I decided to do the same thing on my dining table as I did to my kitchen island since they are near one another.
Also because it was a simple but elegant touch.
On my living room coffee table, I’m waiting for my blush fall stems to arrive so I kept my cherry blossoms in the blue jar for a few more days. But I did switch out my pink pineapple dish with mints to this adorable blush ceramic pumpkin I found at HomeGoods a couple of weeks ago.
That is all I’m sharing today! I have a LOT more to share but that will be next week. I hope this has given you enough inspiration for now. For paint, flooring, or source info on my kitchen or entry or living room…please click on my Home Resources page.
