It’s my favorite time of year!!! *squeal* I feel a little bit like Buddy the Elf once all my Christmas decor is up and I find myself smiling so much more. The whole world changes. Not only is it the time to celebrate the birth of Jesus and a time where we all tend to give a little more and open our hearts, it’s also a fun time to get together with fellow blogger friends and share our Christmas tours with you. The last couple of years have been slower for me in the blogging world and I’ve stepped back a LOT, as I’ve focused on my healing journey, our big move across the country, and being present with my teenagers. However, I won’t let an opportunity to do these wonderful Christmas tours pass me by because it’s so inspiring and so very fun. Grab some tea and join me as we tour living rooms today but make sure to join us all week. I’m sharing my glam blue, white and gold Christmas living room. Oh! And a huge welcome if you’ve never been here before and are coming from Sarah’s blog at Thrifty Decor Chick. How fabulous was her tour?!

Meet Gracie. She’s our furry photo-bomber. If she hears me snapping pics, she thinks she needs to get all up in my face and look at the camera to get a treat…ha! She’s a riot.
So, I’ve done a spa blue Christmas tree before but never an actual blue and white and gold Christmas tree. My plans were to do a green tree this year and a totally different mantel but I just bought this rug over the summer and I just couldn’t put it away for the holidays since I loved it so much. So I went with having a Blue Christmas. {cue Elvis song…it’ll be stuck in your head now for the day…you’re welcome}
We have 4-5 trees up each year. I know… it’s a lot. All our real presents are upstairs under our “Santa” tree (traditional red, green and white kids’ tree) so I love all these lovely wrapped gift boxes downstairs so that it doesn’t look empty. It’s a great way to decorate but to store? It takes extra tubs. I stack them inside each other and save all the ribbon in them in case I use the same ribbon again.
>>BTW, I’ll be linking all the products I’ve used in this post at the end.<<
My favorite thing about this room this year might be the built-ins they just put in this week.
This was just a blank wall before and I needed storage space. I really miss our built-ins from the last house and they are fun to style for any holiday or time of year.
I usually put my ginger jars away at Christmas and make room for mercury glass trees and other decor but I thought it would be so cute to keep them out this year and put bows on some.
Here’s another way to decorate with your ginger jars. Place them next to the tree and create a vignette with something like a tall lantern.
I had to use my rhinestone-trimmed velvet white ribbon (found a few years ago by D. Stevens) instead of blue ribbon because it’s just so pretty. It’s my third year using it and I’ve never seen a prettier ribbon so I’ll work it in any way I can.
A great tip for decorating any tree is to not use all the same sized ornaments. Have large ones and small ones, all different sizes.
I fell in-love with these gorgeous blue magnolia stems and had to use them. I also found…
…these dusty blue Christmas floral stems.
Tip: Using different blue-colored florals and ornaments adds more dimension and texture to a tree instead of everything just being one shade.
I really love the blue fawn-printed pillows that I’ve had for several years but wanted to create more of a winter look.
So I paired them with these blue velvet color block pillows. I love them together.
Styling a Christmas coffee table is so fun!
I’ve been bombarded with emails and messages about this precious nativity set every year and is my favorite piece on my coffee table. When we lived in Waco, TX years ago, I found it at a garage sale for $8. Put anything under a glass cloche and it’ll be cute. I have it sitting on a round marble tray and added a simple garland. How do you display your nativities?
Y’all I’m DYING! There were several shots of this angle but the cute photo-bomber struck again and I’m using this photo. I did the same thing as last year with my ribbon, making it look like it just weaves in and out of the garland.

Everything is so beautiful and looks like it should be on the cover of a magazine! I love that you kept the ginger jars and added ribbon. Such a cute idea. But my fave has to be the manger scene under the cloche. It makes it look so much more important and quite the statement. So glad I got to see it. Enjoy all that smiling and your holiday season. Merry Christmas.

Oh I sooo appreciate that, Cindy! Thank you and Merry Christmas! Xo

Summer! Your living room is taking my breath away and giving me life at the same time…how did you even do that? The color palette is heavenly. The mood serenely chic. And the built-ins look perfect. This is my first time on any holiday tour (I am a better writer than holiday decorator!), and what an honor to to be among such talented creatives like you. I am in the market for a photobomber just like yours so if you can help, that would be *sigh* dreamy. Our shihtzu passed a few years back. Peace to you and yours right where you are.

Oh Michele! WELCOME! You are sooo sweet and your comment made my day. Our little Gracie is a Maltese and she has brightened our world after losing our sweet Giorgio (Yorkie) a few years ago. Maltese dogs are so sweet and want to be with you every second. So sorry for your loss! We got her in Portland before moving to South Carolina. Hope you find another fur baby to love. Merriest Christmas!💗

Hi Summer, What a lovely idea to do spa blue on your tree and in decor. Your home is beautiful and your cute doggy made the pictures! Love a good ribbon also and your vintage nativity scene. It’s making me wonder where my mother’s scene is and that I should find it! Looking forward to following you now . Love your decor ideas and tips.
Fun doing this with you all! Kim
